princess grace

I was so honored when Amy asked if I would come and take some summer photos of their little princess.  Grace was born just a few weeks before Nathan and I knew it would be fun to compare how different 2.5 is for all boy and all girl.  And man, was it!

This shoot took place on my birthday, and if I say so myself, I was in the zone!  I am most proud of the images I captured from this session than any I've done to date.  (and because of that, I added a few extra images to this post!)  Grace was a lovely subject and we simply had a ball.  I literally had to tear myself away because I was having such a good time!

Perhaps the highest compliment of all, Amy said that I truly did capture the essence of their little princess.  It makes my heart so happy.  (view entire gallery here)

caleb & anna

My friend Alice asked me for some advice in the land of cameras, and in the process of the conversation, I asked if I could capture a special time in the lives of her kids for her.  Caleb recently turned four and Anna was about to turn two!  It was a wonderful evening that I spent with Alice's family when we did the session.  Beginning to do this for other people has been such a great thing for me -- I have learned so very much about photography and about photographing other people every time.  Thanks, Alice, for letting me come and stick my camera in all of your faces!
